Catalog in Review: What are Suite Collections?

Hello! I’m going to start up a new series of blog posts where I look at different areas of the catalog and point out things that you may not be aware of. These will be aimed at those of you who are new to Stampin’ Up! and/or new to the catalog, but even if you’re not, you may discover some new information that you hadn’t realized before.

As you look through the catalog, you’ll notice on certain pages there are stamps, dies or punches, papers, and embellishments or embossing folders that coordinate with each other. Stampin’ Up! refers to these as Suite Collections. These are new products that weren’t available in last year’s catalog, and are designed to all work well together to give you wonderfully crafted cards. You can buy them as one set, or you can buy the components individually. If you plan on buying the stamps and the dies together, you will receive a 10% discount.

Each of the Suite Collections is listed on a two page spread. The left page contains the name of the collection, examples of cards, a listing of what’s available, and the cost of purchasing all the pieces in this collection. The right page shows you the coordinating DSP and embellishments or embossing folders at the top, and the bottom shows the stamp set and dies or punches. Note that the stamp images are shown true to size, unless noted otherwise. This is also where you’ll find the bundle price for buying both the stamp set and dies or punches.

Underneath the DSP you’ll see a listing of six colors, and these are colors that work well with the decorative papers. Can you use other colors? Absolutely! I’m a big proponent of using the supplies you own. But if you’re looking for matching cardstock and ink, these are the colors you’ll want to consider.

There are ten different Suite Collections in the catalog; I’ve listed the pages you can find them on below, or if you click the name of the collection, it will take you to the online store where you can look at it.

If you need a catalog, I’d be happy to send you one. Click here to fill out the form and I’ll send one out this week!
