Hello friends! The technique I’d like to show you today is an easy one to do and brings that extra “pop” to your cards. You will need a stamp and two different shades of ink, a lighter color and a darker color.
For my card , I used the colors flirty flamingo and berry burst, and I chose the flower stamp from the Quiet Meadow stamp set.

Take your stamp and ink in the lighter color first. With your second color, you are just going to grab the color on the edges of your stamp. Tilt it so that only the edges will touch the darker stamp pad and gently touch the inkpad, lifting and rotating (or rolling) the stamp as you go. Skip areas (or rock) your stamp around the inkpad for a more natural look. You don’t want it to hit the ink perfectly on every edge, or you’ll end up with a solid dark outline around your image. Stamp your image.

The flower on the left was inked only in flirty flamingo; the flower on the right picked up some of the berry burst on its edges.
Experiment with different stamps and color combinations. If you have a tree with leaves stamp, experiment with different leaf colors!
Here’s the card I made with this technique. For the card base I used flirty flamingo card stock, and embossed a piece of basic white cardstock with the splatters embossing folder. The leaves are leftovers from a Paper Pumpkin kit.

I’d love to see what you design!
Happy Stamping!
Jen
