Gift Tags using Forever Forest Stamps

Have you tried making your own gift tags? They are fun and easy to assemble, and give that extra pop to your gifts!

These tags were designed by SU, but I’ll list the products below and walk you through the process, so you can easily recreate these tags at home. Use the supplies you have available to you; if you don’t have the product listed, substitute with what you do have. Trees are a common theme with Christmas stamps, so you might find a few options in your own supplies that work well.

White Tags

Products used: Greetings of the Seasons stamps/dies, Forever Forest stamp set, Pretty Peacock ink, basic white card stock

You’ll want to start by creating your white tag. You can use a die, such as the one used for this tag found in Greetings of the Seasons. (Another option for dies is Merriest Trees, available as an online exclusive, and I like this set for the varying sizes of trees it offers).

Two alternatives to dies is using a punch or cutting a tag with your paper trimmer, and using a hole punch to create the hole in the top for a ribbon.

The images are stamped in Pretty Peacock ink. This is not an ink color that would have been my first choice, but I think it works well with the tag. The trees and background dots are from the Forever Forest stamp set, and the To/From stamps can be found in the Greetings of the Season set.

Brown Tags

Products used: crumb cake card stock, Versamark pad, white embossing powder, Greetings of the Season stamps/dies

The tags were cut using the Greetings of the Season dies, and the greeting was stamped onto the tag using the Versamark Pad, sprinkled with white embossing powder, then heat embossed. An alternative would be using white craft ink if you don’t have the supplies for embossing.

Finished Product

The two tags are tied together using linen thread. I like the overall effect of the tags together. You can use dimensionals to adhere them together, or leave them loose—your choice.

I’d love to see a picture of the tags if you decide to make them!

Happy tag making!
