Hi friends! Today is Day 2 of my Easy Birthday Cards series, and I’m happy to share this card with you! Fun Fact: this card uses the same sheet of DSP, just the reverse side with a coordinating but different color theme. I love how Stampin’ Up!’s color coordination between their inks, papers and the various coloring tools are just perfect. I don’t have to think about whether it matches; I know it will.
SUPPLIES NEEDED
- A2 Card base that measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2*
- white cardstock for your greeting
- white cardstock that measures 3″ x 4 1/2″ for inside of card
- 3 1/4″ x 5″ DSP for front of card
- 4″ x 5 1/4″ same pattern DSP for inside of card
*for card base: cut your cardstock 8.5″ x 5.5″; score at 4 1/4″

FRONT OF CARD
- Take your card base and cut 3/4″ off the front right edge. Save the strip to use later.
- Adhere your 3 1/4″ x 5″ DSP to the front of your card. It should look like:

3. For the greeting die cut a shape. If you don’t have a die cutting machine, use a punch or your trimmer to create a shape. It can be any shape you like! I used a 2 1/2″ circle.
4. Stamp “Happy Birthday” on your die cut/punched shape. Attach to the center of your card with dimensionals.
INSIDE OF CARD
- Attach your piece of DSP that measures 4″ x 5 1/4″ to the inside of your card base.
- On your white cardstock (3″ x 4 1/2″) stamp your greeting.
- Attach your white cardstock to your card base. You want to make sure it is positioned so that only 1/4″ of the DSP on the left is showing (see picture). This is because when you close the card, you don’t want to see any of the white cardstock. Only the DSP should be showing.
