Create a Personalized Card for Any Occasion

Hello friends! Recently my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, and I made him a card using this design, and I wanted to share it with you, so that you can recreate it as well. It uses 4 strips of decorative paper (DSP) that measure 1.75” x 5.25”, so this will be a great card idea to have ready if you have leftover strips of paper you want to use up.

Supplies Needed:

  • 8.5” x 5.5” garden green card stock
  • 1.25” x 5.25” garden green card stock
  • Dimensionals
  • 4 pieces of 1.75” x 5.25” DSP, same pattern
  • 1 piece of white card stock that measures 2.75” x 5.25”
  • 1 piece of white card stock that measures 1” x 5”
  • Stamps, ink, adhesive, paper trimmer with scoring blade

Instructions:

Score the garden green card stock at 2 1/8” and 4 1/4” and fold

Attach 2 pieces of your decorative paper to the front of your card

One thing to note is you want to check the design on your DSP and make sure the pattern looks good in the horizontal position; some papers have a definite up and down pattern and you may need to be sure the pattern makes sense in this direction.

Open your card, and attach the other two pieces of DSP to the left side.

Attach 3 dimensionals to the center of your 1.25” x 5.25” strip of garden green card stock.

Attach this piece to the inside right edge of your card base. This will serve as the prop piece that allows your card to be displayed.

Stamp your greeting on the strip of white card stock that measures 1” x 5”. Adhere this to the top of green strip you just attached. I added a die cut leaf to mine.

If you want to stamp an inside greeting, do that now on the remaining white card stock, and attach to your inside card base. I decided to leave my blank, so I could write a message on the inside.

You can then prop up your card to display as shown

It’s a cute card that can be customized for any occasion! Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Happy Stamping!
