A Fun Fold for Any Occasion

Hi friends! Yes, I know it’s early June, but I wanted to post and show you an easy fun fold that you can make, not only for Christmas cards, but any occasion at all! This card was one of the 14 I made from scraps of paper (see post here)

The DSP really carries this card, so look for a bright, cheerful pattern! I’ll include the instructions below so you can recreate this. Note: you can alter the shape on the front that holds the sentiment. I used a rectangle, but use whatever you’d like.

  1. Choose a card base that matches your DSP. Red or green is always a safe color at Christmas, but I’ve seen different colors as well. Cut your cardstock 8.5″ x 5.5″; score at 1.5″ and 5.75″
  2. There is only DSP on the front 2 panels: for the left panel, cut your DSP 1 .375″ x 5.25″, and for the right panel 2.5″ x 5.25″.
  3. The rectangle for the greeting on the front measures 2″ x 2.75″ and the white cardstock for the greeting measures 2.25″ x 1.5″. Remember, though, that you can use any size and shape you’d like! When you glue this on, just remember to only glue the left side; otherwise your card will be glued shut and you’ll have to start over !
  4. For the inside, I added a piece of white cardstock for the greeting that measures 4″ x 5.25″. Stamp your greeting before you glue it down. You can always stamp another greeting if you mess up, but once it’s glued down, it’s hard to fix it.

I hope you give this a try! Please email me at jen@theinkyflamingo.com if you have any questions.

Happy Creating,

Jen
